NGCLZ drum type gear coupling with brake wheel belongs to rigid flexible coupling, which is composed of inner gear ring with the same number of teeth and flange half coupling with outer teeth. Divided into straight teeth and drum tooth outside two kinds of tooth shape, tooth is the so-called drum will made spherical outer teeth, spherical center on the gear axis, backlash is generally large gear, drum gear couplings allows a larger angular displacement (as opposed to straight tooth coupling), can improve the tooth contact conditions, improve the ability to transfer torque, prolong service life.

1. Strong carrying capacity. With the same outer diameter of inner sleeve and outer diameter of coupling, the bearing capacity of NGCLZ drum type coupling with brake wheel is 15 ~ 20% higher than that of straight type coupling on average

Under the same modulus, tooth number and tooth width, the allowable angular displacement of drum tooth is larger than that of straight tooth.

When the gear coupling is in operation, the relative angular displacement of the two axes, the tooth surface of the internal and external teeth for the periodic axial relative sliding, the inevitable formation of tooth surface wear and power consumption, therefore, the gear coupling needs to be in a good and sealed state. Gear coupling radial size is small, bearing capacity is large, often used in low speed and heavy load conditions of the shaft drive, high precision and dynamic balance of the gear coupling can be used for high speed drive, such as gas turbine shaft drive. Since the angular compensation of NGCLZ belt brake wheel drum type coupling is greater than that of the straight type, NGCLZ belt brake wheel drum type coupling is widely used at home and abroad. The straight type coupling belongs to the eliminated product and should be avoided as far as possible.
